Seeing a friend
1. Roedd hi’n ddiwedd y dydd, bron yn nos, ac roedd Cyw wedi mynd i weld ei ffrind Gwen y Gwdihŵ. Roedd Gwen yn cysgu’n sownd yn ei nyth. Galwodd Cyw arni o waelod y goeden. Roedd yn amser iddi ddeffro.
1. It was the end of the day, almost night, and Cyw was going to see her friend Gwen the Owl. Gwen was fast asleep in her nest. Cyw called to her from the bottom of the tree. It was timer for her to wake up.
2. Ond chlywodd Gwen ddim byd a chariodd ymlaen i gysgu’n drwm.
2. But Gwen didn't hear a thing and remained fast sleep.
3. Felly taflodd fesen oddi ar y llawr i geisio taro’r nyth a’i deffro.Ond methodd Cyw y nyth.
3. So she threw an acorn from the floor to try and hit the nest and wake her. But Cyw missed the nest.
4. Daeth Cyw o hyd i frigyn hir, cododd ef yn ofalus a cheisio cyrraedd Gwen. Ond doedd y brigyn ddim yn ddigon hir.
4. Cyw came across a long stick, she picked it up carefully and tried to reach Gwen. But the stick wasn’t long enough.
5. Yn sydyn, daeth gwiwer fach i’r golwg o’r goeden. “Be sy’n mynd ymlaen?” meddai. “Dw i’n trio cysgu!”
5. Suddenly, a small squirrel came out from the tree. “What’s going on?” it said. “I’m trying to sleep!”
6. “Mae’n ddrwg gen i,” meddai Cyw, “dw i’n trio deffro Gwen y Gwdihŵ!” Aeth y wiwer at Gwen a chosi ei bol. Dechreuodd Gwen chwerthin yn eichwsg, cyn agor ei llygaid a deffro.
6. “I’m sorry,” said Cyw, “I’m trying to wake up Gwen the owl!” The squirrel went up to Gwen and tickled her stomach. Gwen started to laugh in her sleep before she opened her eyes and woke up.
7. “Dyna ti,” meddai’r wiwer cyn diflannu’n nôl i’r goeden i gysgu. Edrychodd Gwen o’i chwmpas mewn syndod.
7. “There you go,” said the squirrel before disappearing back to the tree to sleep. Gwen looked around in amazement”
8. “Gwen!! Lawr fan hyn!” gwaeddodd Cyw a sylwodd Gwen arni’n syth. “Wel helo Cyw!” meddai’n garedig.
8. “Gwen!! Down here!” Cyw shouted and Gwen spotted her immediately. “Well hello Cyw!” she said kindly.
9. Chwarddodd Gwen wrth glywed amyr helynt o geisio ei deffro gan Cyw.Yna, bu Gwen yn dweud hanes einosweithiau hwyr yn hela wrth Cyw.
9. Gwen laughed as she heard about the fuss and bother Cyw had in trying to wake her up. Then, Gwen told Cyw tales of her late nights hunting.
10. Ond cyn i Gwen orffen ei stori, roedd Cyw druan wedi disgyn i gysgu. Wel, roedd hi’n amser gwely i bawb oni bai Gwen, wedi’r cyfan.
10. But before Gwen finished her story, Cyw poor thing had fallen asleep. Well, it was bedtime for everyone apart from Gwen, after all.

Roedd Jangl wedi bod yn peintio llun o robin goch
Jangl had been painting a picture of a robin.
Ond doedd ganddi ddim paent coch ar ôl.
But she didn’t have any red paint left.
“Beth am chwilio am rhywbeth coch arall, yn lle paent i’w roi ar frest Robin?” meddai Cyw.
“How about looking for something else that’s red, instead of paoint to put on Robin’s breast?” Cyw said.
Aeth y ddwy i chwilio’r tŷ.
The two of them went to search around the house.
Daeth Cyw o hyd i domato.
Cyw found a tomato.
Ond doedd hwnnw ddim yn iawn.
But that wasn’t right.
Daeth Jangl o hyd i hosan goch, ond doedd hwnnw ddim yn iawn chwaith.
Jangl found a red sock, but that wasn’t right either.
Daeth Cyw o hyd i flodyn coch, ond doedd hwnnw ddim yn gweithio chwaith.
Cyw found a red flower, but that didn’t work either.

“I can paint the robin’s breast with this!” she said.

And that’s what she did!

Competition Rules
Mae'r gystadleuaeth yn agored i bawb ac eithrio unigolion sy'n gyflogedig gan S4C, Boom Cymru (y Cwmni), Canolfan Peniarth, eu teuluoedd a chwmniau eraill sy'n gysylltiedig â'r gystadleuaeth.
The competition is open to all apart from individuals employed by S4C, Boom Cymru (the Company), Canolfan Peniarth, their families and other companies associated with the competition.
Rhaid i ymgeiswyr fod o dan 16 oed i gystadlu.
Entrants must be under 16 years of age to take part.

Dewisir un enillydd gan y criw cynhyrchu o blith yr enwau sydd wedi cysylltu i gystadlu erbyn y dyddiad a'r amser cau.
One winner is chosen by the production crew from those who have contacted us to compete by the closing time and date.
Ni fydd unrhyw geisiadau a wneir ar ôl y dyddiad a'r amser cau yn cael eu cynnwys yn y gystadleuaeth. Cyhoeddir enw'r enillydd yn y rhifyn nesaf ym mis Mawrth.
Any entries submitted after the closing time and date will not be included in the competition. The winner will be announced in the next issue in March.
Bydd y wobr yn cael ei hanfon at yr enillydd.
The prize will be sent to the winner.
Bydd y gystadleuaeth yn cau am hanner dydd, 31ain Ionawr 2023.
The competition will close at 12 noon on 31st January 2023.
Ni ellir cyfnewid unrhyw wobr ac nid oes dewis o arian parod yn lle gwobr.
No prize may be exchanged and there is no cash alternative.

Sending us pictures means that you automatically consent to the possibility of displaying these pictures in a televised broadcast, the March issue and the Cyw website.
