1. Un diwrnod braf roedd Deryn yn chwarae yn yr ardd. Roedd hi wedi gwneud ffrindiau gyda buwch goch gota. Roedd Deryn wedi cyfri ei smotiau i gyd. Roedd 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 smotyn du ar ei chefn coch. “Dyna hardd,” meddai Deryn.
1. One fine day Deryn was playing in the garden. She had made friends with a ladybird. Deryn had counted all its spots. There were 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 black spots on her red back. "That's beautiful," said Deryn.
2. Ymhen tipyn daeth bloedd o’r tŷ. Roedd te yn barod. “Aros di lle wyt ti, fydda i nôl mewn chwinciad,” meddai Deryn wrth y fuwch goch gota.
2. After a while a shout came from the house. Tea was ready. "Stay where you are, I'll be back in a flash," said Deryn to the ladybird.
3. Aeth Deryn i’r tŷ a chael te gyda Plwmp a Bolgi oedd wedi bod yn brysur yn paratoi ffrwythau a chacen.
3. Deryn went to the house and had tea with Plwmp and Bolgi who had been busy preparing fruit and cake.
4. Ond pan aeth Deryn yn ôl allan i’r ardd at y fuwch goch gota, sylwodd Deryn fod yna broblem! “O na!” meddai. Roedd y fuwch goch gota wedi colli dau smotyn. Dim ond 1, 2, 3, 4 smotyn oedd yno bellach.
4. But when Deryn went back out to the ladybird in the garden, Deryn noticed that there was a problem! “Oh no!” she said. The ladybird had lost two spots. There were now only 1, 2, 3, 4 spots.
5. Aeth Deryn i chwilio am y ddau smotyn coll. Edrychodd ar y blodau lliwgar ond doedd dim un smotyn du ar rheiny.
5. Deryn went to look for the two missing spots. She looked at the colourful flowers but there was not a single black spot on them.
6. Aeth i chwilio am smotiau du ar y llithren. Ond doedd dim un yno chwaith.
6. She went to look for black spots on the slide. But there were none there either.
7. Sylwodd Deryn fod gan Cyw smotiau o dan ei llygaid. Ond nid smotiau du’r fuwch goch gota oedd rheina.
7. Deryn noticed that Cyw had spots under her eyes. But those weren't the ladybird's black spots.
8. Aeth Deryn yn ôl at y fuwch goch gota ond rhyfeddodd. Roedd y smotiau yn ôl! Roedd ganddi chwe smotyn eto.
8. Deryn went back to the ladybird but was surprised. The spots were back! She still had six spots.
9. A dyna pryd y gwelodd Deryn fuwch goch gota arall yn dod atyn nhw. Hi oedd yr un efo pedwar smotyn!
9. And that's when Deryn saw another ladybird coming towards them. She was the one with four spots!
10. Roedd Deryn yn falch iawn o gael dwy ffrind bach newydd. Tybed elli di lunio smotiau ar gefn y fuwch goch gota yn y llun?
10. Deryn was very pleased to have two new little friends. Can you draw spots on the back of the ladybird in the picture?

2 panasen
2 parsnips

2 ciwb stoc
2 stock cubes

saucepan
1. Torra’r llysiau yn ofalus gyda chyllell.
1. Cut the vegetables carefully with a knife.
2. Rho’r llysiau yn y sosban.
2. Put the vegetables in the saucepan.
3.Ychwanega 2 giwb stoc a’r dŵr.
3. Add 2 stock cubes and the water.
4.Rho’r sosban ar y stôf a’i goginio am 20 munud.
4. Put the saucepan back on the stove and cook it for 20 minutes.
